The results of Assembly elections in five states will have a significant impact on Goan politics, Goa Congress president Girish Chodankar said on Tuesday.

“This result has taught a lesson to BJP allies, specially Goa Forward, whose leaders had criticised Rahul Gandhi’s leadership in Goa Assembly and outside time and again,” Chodankar said in a statement.

“We will see a similar impact in upcoming by-elections in Goa,” Chodankar added.
