The supervisory board of Audi AG named Bram Schot as company’s chief executive officer (CEO) on Wednesday after serving in that role on interim basis since June.
Schot was previously on the Board of Management Member for Sales and Marketing for Audi.
Schot had left his position as president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Italia in 2011 to move to the Volkswagen Group, where he undertook the responsibility of strategic projects in the sales division.
Schot later joined the board of management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in 2012, where he was responsible for marketing and sales.
