The mining dependents have threatened to stop union minister Nitin Gadkari from inaugurating the Khandepar bridge on Sunday.
The members of Goa Mining People’s Front (GMPF) have said that they will protest against the inauguration event and have demanded that a senior cabinet minister from Goa should inaugurate the bridge.
GMPF leader Puti Gaonkar has said that the mining dependents would stage a dharna near the approach roads to the bridge sporting black flags.
“Being head of UnionMinisters’ panel, Gadkari has failed to find a solution to the mining issue, so we want a senior minister from the Goa cabinet to inaugurate the bridge,” Gaonkar said.
