The body of a 41-year-old Russian national, Vladimir Volchanov, was found at the roadside in Arambol by police on December 23.

The police suspect that the cause of the death may have been a drug overdose.

The forensic department of Goa Medical College (GMC) has conducted the postmortem and sent the viscera for chemical analysis, the police informed.

The police have said that only after they receive the viscera report they will know the exact cause of death.
