In a fire accident near Candelaria Church at Baina-Vasco, the house of Alexio D’souza has been partially gutted.

According to information, owners had gone out for a wedding when the fire incident took place. On sighting the fire, neighbours alerted the owners and called the fire brigade. The firefighters rushed to the site and put out the fire after nearly an hour of firefighting.  

Though the reason of the fire is unknown, a fire officer has informed that the roof, kitchen and a bedroom has been totally destroyed incurring a loss of around 2 lakh rupees.
