Around 200 mining dependents under the banner of GMPF marched to Rajya Sabha MP Vinay Tendulkar and South Goa Lok Sabha MP Narendra Sawaikar’s residence.

However, both the MPs were not available to meet the GMPF leaders.

The GMPF has demanded resignation from all 3 MPs stating that they are incapable of resolving the mining issue.

They further stated that they would wait till January 16 for PM’s appointment as per Sudin’s assurance. GMPF Leader Puti Gaonkar has stated that they have planned to block Sanquelim-Keri highway on  January 17 if Sudin fails to deliver on his assurance.
