Tourism minister Manohar Azgaonkar today informed that the Goa Carnival festivities will commence in the state from March 2 onwards.

Azgaonkar also said that after an unimpressive response from the tourists during Christmas and New Year celebrations, the tourism department is expecting better influx during the carnival.

The float parades will begin from Panaji on March 2, he said.
