Calangute MLA Michael Lobo after meeting DGP Muktesh Chander said that the state government and the tourism department must crackdown on unruly tourists because of whom there is a heavy decline in overall tourist footfalls in the state.
Lobo further said that the Chief Minister, as well as the tourism department, is equally responsible for this situation.
“We have wrong tourists coming who think Goa as liquor destination, drug destination and prostitution destination. It is time that we crack down on such tourists and focus on attracting quality tourists in the state,” Lobo said.
Lobo had met Director General of Police Muktesh Chander and submitted a memorandum in which he sought a check on tourism-related menace.
