Rajeev Mehta, Secretary General of Indian Olympic Association (IOA), will arrive today in Goa along with Mukesh Kumar (GTCC) for a meeting with Government and other officials to discuss matters regarding Goa’s stance and preparedness to host the National Games in March – April 2019.

During the visit, the IOA officials will meet Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, Sports Minister Manohar Azgaonkar, Chief Secretary and Sports Secretary.

 Goa Olympic Association (GOA) and Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) officials will accompany them during the visit. Later in the evening, Shripad Naik, North Goa MP and GOA president, will a host a dinner at Banquet Hall, Caculo Mall, Panaji, where IOA and GOA officials will interact with presidents and secretaries of State Sports Associations.

Goa Olympic Association has expressed optimism that the outcome of the meeting will be positive and the Government will give full backing to the games.
