The three-day budget session of the State Assembly will commence from Tuesday. Speaker Pramod Sawant said that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar would be present for the three-day session.

The chief minister had chaired the Business Advisory Committee meeting last week.

Governor Mridula Sinha will address the House on the first day of the session.

The amendment to the Tourist Trade Act, to curb liquor consumption and nuisance in public spaces including beaches, will also be tabled in the House.

The opposition Congress had demanded that the session should be conducted for at least 10 days, as three days are not enough to discuss important public issues.
