Goa’s Anura Prabhu Desai won Silver in Mixed Team championship event at 74th Inter State Inter-Zonal Badminton Team championships 2018-19 held during the Senior Nationals Badminton in Guwahati, Assam.

Anura represented Railways in the Team championship event. Though Anura lost her singles match to Aakarshi Kashyap 12-21, 14-21, she came back strongly to win women’s doubles along with her partner Riya Mookerjee.

Anura/Riya outclassed Shriyanshi Pardesi/Sneha Santhilal 21-8, 21-8 to take the tie into the decider.

Anura’s team Railways went down fighting 2 – 3 to AirportS Authority of India.
