TNV: When and how did you begin modelling? Were you studying or working before then?
AS: I always had a keen interest in fashion and that’s what inspired me to continue this as a full-time career.
TNV: Why modelling when you could have settled in for a more stable permanent career?
AS: Because I believe there is no harm in something that you believe in. There are a lot of options in this industry like fashion, TV, advertising etc. Being a model will allow me to experience many things and to learn and achieve.
TNV: Tell us about your first assignment, if any, and how did it happen? What was the experience like?
AS: My first assignment was a ramp show in which selected through an audition in Delhi. That experience was just awesome and I did not believe that I got selected and I was unable to sleep the whole night.
TNV: What do you feel makes you a good model? Your face? Your body? Your attitude? As opposed to others?
AS: I believe in uniqueness. Everyone is unique with their own goods and bads. My hard work and unmatched dedication is what makes me different from others.
TNV: Why Rubaru Mr India when there are so many local pageants happening?
AS: It is one of the best platforms where I can learn and achieve my goal I always wanted to start my career with it. Over a year this pageant has produced various titles in television, fashion and many more.
TNV: Did Mr India just happen to you along the way – or were you preparing to take part in the pageant?
AS: I was preparing for it for the last many years.
TNV: Tell us about how you train for it. What is the regimen like? What are the challenges involved?
AS: I go to the gym regularly. I also work in a gym as a trainer. I scheduled my thing to maintain my diet and make fit. I am also learning to develop and improve in The field where I can do better.
TNV: What makes you feel you should be the chosen one? What’s different about you as a contestant?
AS: I have a lot of patience. I am a hard working person. I always find positivity in bad things
TNV: How will winning the Mr. India pageant affect your life?
AS: It will totally change me and my family’s life and I will also be a role model for the people in my locality. I always think quality is not an accident it’s a result of hard work.
TNV: What are your views on ‘Save Girl Child Campaign’?
AS: It is one of the major issues in our country. I always wanted to do something for it. There is an urgent need to change the mindset of the patriarchal Indian society which views girls as liabilities. It needs to be established that girls are in no way less than boys and this can be done only with education.
