TNV: When and how did you begin modelling? Were you studying or working before then?

DM:  I started my modeling career with the help of a senior model Rathika, who suggested Sunil Menon one of the best choreographer in chennai. It all started with a Toni and guy saloon opening ceremony Ramp show. Before my modeling career I was a Civil Engineer.

 

TNV: Why modelling when you could have settled in for a more stable permanent career?

DM: Fashion inspires me to become a better version of myself and I wanted to take my passion and inspire others. Hence I prioritize passion rather than a stable permanent career.

 

TNV:Tell us  about your first assignment. if any How did it happen? What was the experience like?

DM: My first assignment is de bull strong brand – a garment ad. It all happened through my friend Raj Eashwar an ad director who gave me this opportunity from which I gained a lot of experience and knowledge.

 

TNV: What do you feel makes you a good model? Your face? Your body? Your attitude? As opposed to others?

DM:  Being a model from my perspective depends on humility and being unique.

 

TNV: Why Rubaru Mr India when there is so many local pageants happening?

DM: Rubaru is one of the excelling male pageants in India with an exemplary international recognition and hence I chose Rubaru.

 

TNV: Did Mr. India just happen to you along the way – or were you preparing to take part in the pageant?

DM: Yes I was preparing for Mr India and this platform made me move a step closer towards it.

 

TNV: Tell us about how you train for it. What is the regimen like? What are the challenges involved?

DM:  My regimen involved working hard on my fitness and for tranquility, I added dance to my routine.

 

TNV: What makes you feel you should be the chosen one? What’s different about you as a contestant?

DM:  My hard work and focus have brought me to this level in the competition. I demonstrate confidence, leadership and willingness to accept failures. Hence I feel I would be a better choice.

 

TNV: How will winning the Mr. India pageant will go to affect your life?

DM: This will be my hard earned success and winning this competition will help me in achieving my goal and strive to creat new goals which will help me build a sustainable future for myself and my family.

 

TNV:What are your views on ‘save girl child’ campaign’?

DM:  Education of girl child has the ability of bringing socio-economic changes. The girl children of today are gearing up to become adult citizens of tomorrow. The growth is parallel to future of our country. When a girl is protected through her rights, The society is assured of its sustainability. Hence government must provide various projects to strengthen girl’s child education.
