Porvorim (Goa): Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai has taken cognizance of the suggestions in the editorial of recent issue of The Neutral View.
TNV edit had suggested that the State Regional Plan should map the pathway for the rain water to ensure that they are not blocked. Considering our horrifying experiences in the past about flooding, we had suggested that the Regional Plan should also declare these areas as no development zone.
“I have read the edit and forwarded it for further action to Town and Country Planning department,” Sardesai told TNV early this morning when our issue hit the stand.
Keeping up our tradition of having Goa at heart, TNV in its edit has narrated how we are creating havoc for the rains and not vice versa. The rains which has been traditionally taking certain pathways is either blocked or forced to take another route due to unmindful development.
