PANAJI (Goa): “A good book not only talks but listens to its reader,” said eminent artist, Dr. Subodh Kerkar during the release of ‘Oh My Goddess’ a romance comedy thriller written by Rohan Govenkar. Rohan’s first Book ‘1000 Kilograms of Goa’ released in 2015 and was a huge success.
The launch was held in the lecture hall of the Krishnadas Shama Library, Patto, Panaji on June 10. Dr. Subodh Kerkar spoke about how essential reading is to our society and how he links the general character of people at large by how often and how much they read.
Speaking about his writing journey, Rohan said that he wrote his first novel inspired by Aghatha Christie’s work which he had read in his childhood. The second novel ‘Oh My Goddess’ was written after he received an overwhelming response for his first book.
Joseph P. Chacko, the publisher at Frontier India Technology spoke about how the publishing industry is evolving, and how important it is for the authors to promote their work in today’s world by changing the rules of the game. ‘Oh My Goddess’ is published under the Frontier India Technology imprint ‘BruteGorilla’.
Historian Sanjeev Sardesai, fashion photographer Prasad Pankar, musician David Lourenco, architect Roheet Hede, interior designers Anagha and Sidney Fernandes, sports journalist Rohit Bhandiye and Professor Dhruv Usgaonkar, attended the launch.
