PANAJI (Goa): Rajya Sabha member Shantaram Naik has strongly opposed the statement of Sadhavi Saraswati, made by her in Goa on Wednesday at a press briefing after the conference of Hindu Janajagruti Sammelan, held at Ramnati in Ponda.

Naik pointed out that, Sadhavi said that beef eating is like eating mother’s meat, and therefore, such people should be hanged in a public square and that, when their body is hung publically, no one will dare to eat beef.

Addressing a press briefing after the conference of Hindu Janajagruti Sammelan held at Ramnati, Sadhavi said that by 2023 Hindu Janajagruti is aiming at making India a Hindu Rashtra (Hindu Nation).

“By Hindu Rashtra we mean that the country will be only for Hindus. People from other religions in India should either do Ghar Wapsi or should leave India willingly”, she said arrogantly.

Naik said that Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who is also the Home Minister of the state, should immediately take cognizance of Sadhavi’s statement and put her under arrest, otherwise, it will be presumed that the BJP are in agreement with her statement
