Gunwanti Paraste (Pune): In a shocking case, a 34 years old woman was gang raped by two youth in moving the car on Friday night near Loni Kalbhor in Pune. Accused are on run and police have launched the search.

According to sources, 34 years lady who hails from Kedgoan, was waiting for a transportation at Choufula near Pune at around 10.30 pm the night of June 16. She had gone to Narayanpur for taking the blessing of local deity and was on her to return to her village. As there is no direct bus from Narayanpur to her town she had to change buses. She was waiting for a transportation at Choufula when two youth travelling in Fortuner car MH14 CW 0002 offered her lift.

Once she got into the car, they first started to beat her physically. Later both of them raped her at the road from Shindavane Ghat to Urali Kanchan patch in moving car. They threatened her to not to tell about rape to anybody otherwise they would kill her. After the act, they dumped her at the ghat and left.

The brave woman with the help of another motorist followed the car in which she was raped. Due to the head light of the bike, she could note down the number of the car. Later she lodged FIR at Loni Kalbhor police station. Accused are identified as Ajay Nawale, Parner and Pakya.

Ranjit pardeshi, police sub-inspector, Loni Kalbhor, Pune Rural, said, “accused immediately ran away and we have been searching them. We have invoked Indian Penal Code 376 D for gang rape, 323 for voluntary causing hurt, 504 for  Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace, 506 for Punishment for criminal intimidation and 34 and crime committed with common intention.”
