PANAJI (GOA): GTDC’s eco-trekking expedition will be conducted on Sunday, June 25, at Collem. This trek will cover a total travel distance of 120 kms from Panaji and back and with a total trekking distance of 4 kms.
During the trek, one can get a glimpse of tame elephants, semi-forested areas, and canals. This trek will also give an experience of Goa’s hinterlands through the Bhagwan Mahaveer Wildlife Sanctuary.One can also visit a temple located right in the village.
Trekkers are requested to wear suitable footwear as they will have to walk through a lot of slippery terrain.
All the participants are requested to carry an extra pair of clothes and rain wear. Changing room facility will also be available.
First 50 bookings will get a complimentary copel, a crown made of flowers and leaves.
Transport arrangements will be available from Margao, Ponda, Mapusa and Panaji Residency. The bus will leave from Mapusa Residency at 7:30 am, Paryatan Bhavan, Patto at 8:00 am, Margao Residency at 8:15 am, Old Goa at 8:15 am and Ponda at 8:45 am.
The charges for the trek include Rs. 750per person. (Inclusive of veg and non-veg lunch and insurance).
The expedition is not recommended for those who are physically unfit.
