Sanjog v Pai is the newly elected sarpanch of Kurdi (Kaden) panchayat of Sanguem. He is the strong supporter of Sanguem independent MLA Prasad Gaonkar. When TNV spoke to him he said there are many problems in our panchayat area, water for drinking and agriculture is the main issue, i would give main preference to solve them. We have lost our land and house at the time of construction of salaulim dam and on the contrary we are not getting proper water to drink and also for agriculture. Mobile connectivity is also a major problem. Agriculture is our main source of income, our panchayat area basically falls in the rage of Western Ghats, it is full of rich flora and fauna, still there is a lot of land which needs to be brought under cultivation. I have many ideas in my mind and I m sure I will bring them in reality with the help of our MLA. In my panchayat there were many places where we can develop eco tourism and it will help the locals get job opportunities. In summer lot of people visit the Kurdi village which submerged under the Salaulim dam reservoir. I have lot of ideas to make this village a major tourist destination like, 4×4 off road track, boating, etc. panchayat ghar needs to be reconstructed and that will also be on my list said Sanjog v Pai.
