TWO HELD WITH BROWN SUGAR WORTH RS 60 K

Gunwanti Paraste (Pune): The Pune police on late Monday night recovered 6.5 gm brown sugar worth Rs. 60 thousand in the international market, following the arrest of two accused, are history sheeter criminals. The police have identified the suspects as Azahar alias Chuha hayat Shaikh (22, residence Bhavani Peth, Pune) and Zohaib alias Pappu Sattar Shaikh (23, residence Nana peth, Pune).

The khadak police had received a tip-off that two men, in possession of brown sugar in Pune. A police team, led by senior police inspector Rajendra Mokashi, Police Inspector (Crime) Sambhaji Shirke, under the guidance of Deputy commissioner of police (zone1) Basavraj Teli and assistant police commissioner Bajirao Mohite, laid a trap near Bhavani Peth.

Two people, whose description tallied with the information received by the police, both accused they were taken into custody on Monday night. The police team recovered a bag containing brown sugar. Both accused are involved in other crime also. Police are still investigating the case.
