Gunwanti Paraste (Pune): A-25-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday morning by hanging herself from a ceiling fan after killing her 5-year-old daughter in Pune.

Police identified the woman as Komudi (25) and daughter Devshri (5), staying in Bhosari at Indrayani nagar on Nirvan Society.

She was staying with her husband and daughter at the first floor. Her Husband Iraspal has a business in Pimpri Chinchwad.

Originally from Tamil Nadu, the couple was staying here for last 10 years.

The incident took place while her husband was at work.

The suicide and killing came to light when Iraspal’s sister came home today morning to take vegetables.

She knocked the door several times and since there was no response she alerted neighbors.
