Panaji (Goa): Congress party this evening held a minor protest demanding arrest of Hindu outfit leader Sadhvi Saraswati for her recent remarks against those eating beef.

The protest led by Mahila Congress members demanded immediate arrest of Sadhvi and closer of right wing Hindu outfit Sanatan Saunstha located at Ramnathi for hurting the sentiments of Goans by holding such anti-religious conventions (All India Hindu Conventions).

The protestors burnt the photos of Sadhavi, who while participating in All India Hindu convention in Goa, last week had demanded that those eating beef should be hanged.

The congress mahila members accused Sadhavi for trying to create communal disharmony in the State in the name of religion. They said that no one can dictate or interfere in the eating habits of anyone.

The opponents have urged Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar to immediately file FIR against Sadhavi and arrest her.
