Pune: One person was dead while five others were injured after a car in which the six persons were travelling fell in Bhatti Ghat  in Velha Taluka on Thursday morning.

The six persons were  working in a  private company and stayed in Hadapsar. The deceased is been identified as Ajay Salve(42) and the injured as Mahesh Wakchaure(30), Arvind Patil(37), Nilesh Gholap(42), Pramod Ghadge(28) and Nitin Doke(28). According to information given by Velha police they were passing through Bhatti ghat in Velha when the incident took place.

The driver of the car lost control and the car fell in the gorge. While Ajay was killed on the spot , other five persons are under treatment in a hospital in Velha. Police said that locals passing by from the area alerted police and ambulance about the incident. Following which crane services were called to remove the car and the injured persons were taken to hospital with the help of locals. Police said that the six persons had a holiday in office and so had planned a trip.Velha police is investigating the case.
