TV ACTRESS BOOKED FOR FALSE CASE

PUNE: Officials of the Bhosari police station have arrested a woman involved in trying to extort money from people by threatening to book them under false case. According to the information given by police inspector AH Bhosale of Bhosari police station, the accused woman, Pooja Jadhav, who has also reportedly acted in TV serial Crime Patrol, was booked along with five others. The accused persons were trying to extort Rs 5 lakh from a man and threatened him to file a rape case against him.

The 30-year-old man from Kalewadi has lodged an FIR against the accused persons with Bhosari police station.

The 30-year-old man has lodged an FIR against the accused persons identified as Maya Sawant, Maya Ovhal, Anita Jadhav, Pranali Pawar and Ravindra Shirsam and Pooja Jadhav of Hadapsar. Police officials have arrested four accused and are yet to arrest Anita Jadhav and Maya Ovhal.

Police officials said that the accused persons operated as a gang wherein the commercial sex workers were used to trap the men from whom they used to extort money in similar modus operandi.
