GOA ASSEMBLY SAVES 8.65 CR SHEETS OF PAPERS, 10,390 TREES, RS 10.98 CR AFTER BEING PAPERLESS

Porvorim (Goa): This is something worth mention as we are getting ready for 15 day long assembly session.
The website of the assembly has given environmentalists a reason to smile. The assembly which has gone paperless for last couple of years has claimed that it has saved 8,65,80,000 sheets of paper which amounts to 10,390 trees and Rs 10,98,90,000.
The fortnight long monsoon session of the assembly began from today.
The Speaker’s office has already received 637 starred and 1083 unstarred questions tabled by the legislators, the answers of which would be tabled during the session.
While 80 per cent of the total questions were received online while 20 per cent were given hand written.
