Porvorim (Goa): Public Works Department minister Sudin Dhavalikar told the House that the sewerage treatment facility for Ponda would be ready by one year.

Dhavalikar said that the treatment facility has been planned at Curti village. The pipeline for that is already laid.

Ponda MLA Ravi Naik who raised this issue on the floor of the House questioned why the work was tendered without land being acquired for setting up treatment facility. The minister said the land would be acquired and project will be completed in time.
