Pune: A 30-year-old employee of a multinational company in Hinjewadi phase three was molested while she was on her way home by the Nande-Chande road on Wednesday evening.
The victim was admitted to a hospital in Baner on Friday as she was unwell. The incident came to light on Friday when the victim was admitted in the hospital.
Officials of the Hinjewadi police station has taken the complaint from the victim.
As per information given by Additional commissioner of police Shashikant Shinde the incident occurred at around 4 pm when the victim was on her way to her home on scooter.
“The woman had taken Nande Chande route from Hinejwadi phase three to head towards Sus road. It started raining and she took a halt to wear her raincoat. It was then when the two person approached her and molested her and escaped from the spot. The woman immediately informed about the incident to her friends who then informed us.” added Shinde.

Police officials said that they have already started investigating the case.Deputy commissioner of police Ganesh Shinde said that the incident has occurred near Mula river and comes under the jurisdiction of Paud police station.”We will register a case under section 354(molestation) of the Indian penal code and will hand over the case to paud police station. However we are also investigating the case and are trying to trace the accused” added Shinde.The deputy commissioner said that the woman has complaint about two youths and police is working on the case based on the details provided by the case.”The woman is safe and is undergoing treatement at the hospital as she is under stress.” added Shinde.
