Porvorim (Goa) Agriculture Minister Vijai Sardesai minced no words to vent his anger against Congress on the floor of the House. This is what he said today. We reproduce it word to word for our readers:

“There was a surgical strike on July 20, next day we voted for Rajya Sabha. Congress had to import observer from Maharashtra to keep their votes intact durign election for Rajya Sabha. After what happened yesterday, you can imagine what would happen to your party.

I am going to promise to the people of Goa that we are intersted in getting any more of your MLAs in the party. This is solemn assurance to the people of Goa that we will not split the congress legislature party further. We wil win over the heart of people of Goa by our performance.

Congress is gettting splitted right from the time your MLAs took the oath. Feel happy that we are assuring that wewill not split you.

A former pcc president had said that the congress observer comes wearing lungi in the morning and goes to disco wearing jean pants. The observers are making false statements that I was trying to topple the government.

The problem of congress part is that they are not serious and they are facing decision making paralysis. The party has become grand fathers’ club. Tell your observer that the stability of our government is from day one and we will run this government for five years. “
