International fashion week Goa will be commencing from 12th – 14th May with renowned fashion designers lined up to showcase their product along with the interaction on the latest trends.
“This is the second edition, first one being held last year in Panaji itself which evoked good response from the fashion designers,” said William Xavier, Chief Executive officer of IFW Goa.
The IFW Goa would be held between May 12th-14th, he said.
This year, around 24 fashion designers from four countries including Dubai, Mexico, Myanmar and Bangladesh will be showcasing their product for the event. They would be portraying the Summer and monsoon collection, he said.
The organizers said that the fashion designers like Shravan Kumar, Nick Roshan, Mohan Gowda, designer duo Navin and Pradip, Kapil Bhatia, Hema Manohar and others.
Xavier said that over 45 models including celebrities would be walking the ramp for the event. “Hollywood actress Rekha Rana has also endorsed the event and would be present for it. She will be show stopper for a fashion designer,” he said.
Celebrities like south India actress Shamita Vinaya, Miss Earth 2016 Priyanka Khurana Goel and others will be participating in the event. Xavier said we are expecting few more confirmations which would be revealed in the run up for the event.
The organizers said that the event will not just be hosting fashion week but will also have B2B networking session, exhibition for retailers and merchandisers, seminars, master classes, workshop, talk show and various competitions.
