GOA: CONTROVERSIAL ROY NAIK MAY TRY HIS LUCK IN VALPOI ON CONGRESS TICKET

Valpoi (Goa) Controversial son of former Home minister Ravi Naik, Roy is almost finalized as the candidate against BJP’s Vishwajit Rane. Roy has been hogging controversies in the past.
Congress party is yet to announce the names of its candidates but sources confirmed that Roy is shortlisted from Valpoi constituency for August 23 by-election.
Roy was named by Swedish model Lucky Farmhouse accusing him for dealing in drugs. The allegations were never investigated by police.
Similarly, he was in the news again when Fiona Mackeown, mother of Scarlett Eden Keeling, had accused him of politically pressuring the investigations in death of her daughter.
Fiona has recently started online campaign to raise funds to fight for justice for her daughter. In the petition which is put online, she has named Roy.
Then home minister Ravi Naik was in the tight spot several times after Roy’s name had featured. Interestingly, Roy had lost election in Ponda municipal council.
