Panaji (Goa) Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has filed his nomination to Panaji by-poll this morning after taking blessings of Godess Mahalaxmi and visiting Immaculate Conception Church.
In his usual style, Parrikar went around meeting his supporters who had gathered during filing of his nomination. It looked like a homecoming for Parrikar who spent two and half years in Delhi as Defence minister.
“After election results are out on August 28, the implementation of 365-day-long action plan for Panaji constituency will start. The reverse countdown of the plan will start from August 29 and it will be completed exactly after a year,” Parrikar said.
Earlier, Flanked by his supporters including former Panaji MLA Siddharth Kuncolienkar, Parrikar took the blessings of Mahalaxmi and also went to Immaculate Conception Church in the city.
Addressing the supporters, Parrikar predicted more than 8,000 margin for him this time. He assured that city will have 365 day action plan which will address all the issues related to the capital city.
Parrikar said that the same action plan would be replicated in other cities of the State in a phased manner. He said that the issues of development, infrastructure, educational and personal problems would be tackled.
