PANAJI( GOA) In a futher step towards taking the administration at the door step of the pubic, the State government is working on model called Citizen Service Centres at taluka level.
” Our vision is clear. We want to provide invisible government with visible governance. We dont want people to come to our door with their grievances or for services. We would like to come to their door to provide service,” Revenue and IT Minister Rohan Khaunte said.
Hence, he said that IT department intends to launch Citizen Service Centres at taluka level, making the public services across all departments available at door step.
“The CCS will be set up in each taluka. The services related to tourism, revenue or any other public service departments would be made available to the people at the CCS counters,” Khaunte said.
He informed public that the Mahiti Ghar’s have been close down by the government and they are no more associated with them.
“Mahiti ghar were not having any agreement with the government. Also no revenue was coming to state exchequer. There were other issues also and hence we have close it down,” Minister said.
The IT department is in process of launching public grievance redressal system called ‘Sang Goaenkar’ which will deal with all kind of complaints across all department related to time bound delivery of service. Khaunte said that the system will also have direct link with chief minister office.
