ANJUNA (GOA) : In two separate late night outdoor parties at Anjuna, two youths, one from Kerala and the other from Tamil Nadu, died due to drug overdose.
Police said Pravin Sundaram from Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) and Nidan Abdullah from Kozhikode (Kerala) were immediately rushed to a local hospital as they complained of uneasiness.
While Sundaram died at the local hospital, Abdullah, who was having a high fever, was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, where he died.
According to the information available, Sundaram had come to Goa with a friend for holidays and had gone for an outdoor dance and music party at Vagator. At around 12.30 am, he came out of the party premises complaining of uneasiness and went to the parking area. Sundaram complained of breathing difficulty when he reached the parking area. Sundaram was immediately rushed to a local hospital where he died. Police said that Sundaram’s family in Coimbatore has been informed and his body has been sent to GMC for postmortem.
Meanwhile, Abdullah who was at another outdoor late night dance and music party at Anjuna, started complaining of uneasiness. Police said that Abdullah had come alone for the party.
Police said, Abdullah was having a high fever when he was taken to a local hospital. He was later shifted to GMC, where he died. Abdullah’s family members could not be contacted.
