BJP FILES COMPLAINT BEFORE CEO OF BOGUS NEWS

Panaji (GOA) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Office and Cyber Cell of Goa Police against the ‘bogus news’ being circulated on social media about Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar return to Delhi as Defence Minister.
“An attempt has been made by circulating distorted and false news item in social media like the Facebook, Whatsapp amongst other, to create falsehood, malign the image of our candidate Manohar Parrikar and to misguide the electorate of the Panaji constituency,” complaint filed by BJP reads.
Claiming the ‘false and distorted news’ is being circulated under the name of Prime News, Goa and an unnamed press cutting circulated from a mobile number, party has urged to take immediate action.
“Ensure that free and fair elections without any false bias are held,” it stated.
A news quoting Parrikar that if he lose Panaji election will return back to Delhi, was circulated on social media since Wednesday evening.
Parrikar, BJP candidate from Panaji, was Defence Minister of India from Novemebr 2014 to March 2017.
