CASINOS TO BE OUT OF MANDOVI IN NEXT THREE YEARS, MINISTER

Panaji (GOA) Blaming his previous political front Congress for brining in off shore casinos to River Mandovi, Minister for Panchayat Mauvin Godinho said that BJP led coalition government is committed to remove casinos from the river in next three years.
“Everyone knows who brought the off shore casinos to Goa. Congress has even apologized to the people for the mistake and now they are blaming BJP. What more can you accept from Congress?” he told reporters on Sunday.
“Our Government is committed to remove the casinos out of Mandovi River. You will see that three years down the line there will not be any casino in the river,” Godinho said.
Minister said that the State government in consultation with the stakeholders is working out various solutions to decide on the relocation of casinos.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar during recent assembly session has announced to bring in casino policy which may speak about converting off shore casinos into land casinos in next three years.
Godinho, former Congress Dabolim MLA, said that the Congress was responsible for all the scams and scandals in the State like drug trade, illegal mining and SEZ.
Godinho said that Government is committed to make Goa drugs free.
