“Miramar beach is frequented by many people. It should not be like River Princess. Remove the vessel as soon as possible,” the court told the company’s legal representative. The firm has assured to remove the vessel at the earliest informing the court that it is likely to soon hire a new salvor Madgavkar Salvage Pvt Ltd for the salvage operation.

The high court, in July had directed the government to allow mor the vessel in River Mandovi as the company had paid all the pending dues amounting to Rs 50 crore approx. While allowing mooring at its own responsibility, the Ports department also issued an advisory that the vessel should not enter River Mandovi atleast till the monsoon season.
