Panaji (Goa) The voting for the by-election in Panaji and Valpoi constituency began at 8 am with chief minister Manohar Parrikar becoming one of the early voter.
The rains have continued hitting Valpoi and Panaji but that has not dithered the voters. There were queues seen in some of the polling stations. Parrikar arrived at sharp 8 a.m. at Masson Amorim polling station.
Interestingly, Goa Suraksha Manch leader and Parrikar’s political rival Subhash Velingkar too came at the same time. Both of them crossed each other without exchanging any smile. But they were seen sharing some light moment with the other voters who had queued there.
