Panaji (Goa) As expected Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar was in upbeat mood over the results. Flanked by Vishwajit Rane he addressed a press conference. This is what he said:
“This is endorsement of the government and the party candidates”
“The strength of ruling coalition has now gone up to 23, which is a comfortable majority on the floor of the House with 40 members.”
“The ruling coalition is a happy family of 23 members and don’t want any step brother for next five years.”
“In democracy, the numbers count and right now ruling coalition has 23 members by their side which gives moral strength to the State government,”
“As expected, the party has won on both the seats despite various methods tried by the opposition to target me and Vishwajit Rane.”
“There were allegations leveled by opposition that we have formed the government against the mandate of the people but the current results is a reply to them that the government is well within the mandate given by people during 2017 general assembly elections.”
“All the 23 legislators of ruling coalition are “within highly resonating frequency.”
