GANPAT SATOSKAR
It was a simple but certain journey that we began almost a year back. The mission was to take up neutral journalism through a fortnightly. The brief was simple. We wanted to have a newspaper which will speak only truth. We always believe, and it is true, that truth is always neutral. The truth never takes sides. It is straight, simple and true.
That was what began a year back when we started the newspaper “The Neutral View”. With the blessing of our well wishers and readers, the Journey was smooth. The market accepted us with ease. With every edition we improvised. We added new things, covered wide array of topics. We wanted to make it all inclusive fortnightly newspaper and we did it.
The readers will vouch for our neutral coverage and unedited interviews. Our editorials always speak the language of common people. Our writers are best in their respective field. Our coverage is improving.
Then we had another milestone. We began with our website. www.theneutralview.com. We are thankful to Revenue minister and Porvorim MLA Rohan Khaunte to inaugurated the website and since then we have not looked behind.
The website has around 5,000-10,000 people visiting every day. We are giving round the clock coverage. A team of professionals are always on their toes. We broke several stories. Our dedicated website reader base has spread across the world including that in the USA and UK.
This was not enough and we were vying for more. Then Jiomag happened to us. During our meeting with the officials of Reliance, we managed to convince them to lend us space on their most popular app ‘Jiomag’. The last count of which was around one crore people who have downloaded the app and they are regularly reading the magazines there.
The Neutral View’s rich content and regional approach clicked well with the thinking of Reliance promoters who always want to connect to the last person on the ground. Jio is one such initiative where the telecommunication has gone to the poorest and who are now enjoying the best internet with much less price. Jio has changed the entire game of cellular industry.
The Neutral View and Jio decided to join hands and now we are on JioMag App. We have become the western region’s first regional newspaper to find place on JioMag rubbing shoulders with the biggest international brands. Our content will also provide more importance to already successful JioMag App.
The Jio users can now access the magazine on the App. Thanks to various progressive features of this app, one can browse through the magazine and pick and chose the content of his interest. He can save the magazine and read it when it is off line.
In the emerging world of digital technology, the magazine on App is boon for the people who are always on the move. Now there is no fear of losing the hard copy of your favourite ‘The Neutral View’ magazine. You can just download it in your mobile and then read it. We will be close to your heart, virtually.
We are thankful to everyone for being part of The Neutral View family which is now going national. Next week we are launching, our Konkan Edition aptly titled “Yeva Konkanat”. The team of professionals are working on content in pure Malavani and Marathi language. This will be a treat for those who really cherish Dashavatari dramas or plays of late Macchindra Kambli.
This is just a beginning. We have a long journey to travel. Jio has partnered with us and it will certainly help both the brands. We expect more milestones to be achieved. Your blessings and support will fuel our journey.
