What is your immediate reaction to expulsion from Congress?
My immediate reaction is that very fact that drama unfolded under the cover of darkness is an indication that guilty conscience were disturbed. And they were not in a position to answer tough questions, I have posed. It was for this valid reason that they could not face the light which is the press who enlighten the people of happening. I will speak out in full after I am officially communicated.
What is right on your part to criticize Luizinho Faleiro in public?
Prior to the election, I had come out with pubic statements, even at the latter juncture, I appealed congress, as late as January 26 that still party president should come to an understanding and support Goa Forward candidates in Fatorda, Siolim and Saligao. I also mentioned then that nowhere Congress candidate would be number two in the fray. On the contrary, three lost their deposit. Putting those candidates was indication that it was to help BJP candidate which has been proved by all Congress candidates losing their deposit. If those candidates had to get one thousand votes, it would pave way for BJP candidates to victory.
Wasn’t your outburst unwarranted at this juncture when congress is already in opposition?
In the democracy, Congress still stood a chance to form the government. All those groups were averse to Faleiro, that is why government not formed. It cannot be formed till Faleiro is there. Before me, Reginaldo Lourenco had made statement that he should step down. Why no action against him? My statement against Faleiro came after Digvijaya Singh’s admission that it was a mistake not to align with Vijai Sardesai.
What is your political future now?
At the moment, I am thinking and praying that my next course of action should be to help Goa and Goans.
