Continuing with its annual trend, the girls once again outshone boys in the HSSC exmaination results declared on Thursday, that saw 88.77 percent students clearing the crucial exam.
Announcing the results, the chairman of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary J R Rebello said that of the total 16,521 students who answered the exam, 14,666 have cleared it with a total passing percentage of 88.77 percent.
The girls registered a handsome 90.68 percent of pass percentage while boys stood at 86.69 percent.
The passing percentage stream wise is- Science 88.12%, arts: 87.53%, Com: 96.70%, Voc: 88.15%.
As many as 23 schools recorded results above 95%.
Rebello said that the supplementary exmaination for those who failed would be held on June 8.
