Reacting to a news that appeared today in a daily newspaper, CCP commissioner Dipak Dessai said that he never opposed to the acquisition of land. “I have appealed to all the corporators to support and pass a resolution to handover the land as this is very important to solve the biggest problem of Panaji and Goa. How can I oppose this and act against the interest of people?” reacted Dessai.

“We collect a huge amount of garbage on a daily basis in Panaji and there is no proper facility for its treatment. The project at Vainguinim is the only solution which will help us to get rid of this problem in Panaji and surrounding areas,” added Dessai.
