Panaji (Goa): Fisheries Minister Vinod Paliencar has directed the Food & Drugs Administration and Fisheries Department to conduct a joint inspection at fish markets across the State to check for its quality.
The move comes following complaints of poor quality of fish supplied and sold in the markets.
“FDA may conduct joint inspection a log its Fisheries department so that such matters are curtailed… Kindly treat this as most urgen,”  reads a note to the concerned departments.
Paliencar has sought a report by Monday based on which action will be decided.
