M V LUCKY 7 TO TRY ITS LUCK MOVE FROM MIRAMAR

Miramar  (Goa): Any moment from now the now floating M V Lucky 7 off shore casino vessel will make its first attempt to enter deep off Miramar waters for further repairs.
The vessel, which ran agrounded at Miramar beach on July 16, continues to remain an eye-opening since then.
Sources said the vessel will undergo repairs meters away from its current location after which it would be decided when it will further be taken in deep waters for underwater inspection. “Most of the damaged portion is repaired. However, some parts like cracks in the flooded engine room is left for repairs which can be done only after taking the vessel little deeper,” he said.
The vessel had developed gushing hole earlier last month after which it hard partially tilted posing danger it could meet the fate as River Princess – that remained grounded at Candolim beach for over a decade destroying the economy system, etc.
In the case of Lucky 7, the waters had then entered the vessel but nevertheless it was pumped out, exercise of which completed two days ago. “Whatever water is left in a few compartments and engine room will be pumped out in deep waters,” said the official.  Once successful,  the vessel will then be  refloated in deep waters off Campal for underwater inspection. In the final phase,  the ship will be towed to Jaigad dry dock yard for major repairs.
Today, the experts will make an attempt to shift the vessel for required repairs.
“We are waiting for the high tide after which the exercise will begin,” the official revealed.  Golden Globe Hotels Pvt Ltd has hired salvor M/s AMS Marine LLC, Egypt for salvaging the vessel.
