Miramar (Goa) : The salvors of M/s VMS Marine LLC failed to tow the controversial off-shore casino vessel M V Lucky 7 on the second day of the salvaging exercise as it managed to pull just 50 mtrs from Miramar beach today.

“Salvors didn’t manage to pull the vessel to deep waters in Aguada bay, but the reason is due to receding of the tide post-lunch and heavy winds. The floating exercise will resume tomorrow,” a senior government official, who is closely monitoring the situation on behalf of the chief minister’s office said.

The salvors and the captain of ports department expect high tide at around 12-noon tomorrow when the vessel will be towed again. As of now, its front portion is facing the sea again and the arch around 30 degrees

Sources also said that CoP has decided to assist the salvors by temporarily lending its tugboat for initial pull.
