PORVORIM
The North Goa district chief of Shivsena, Kishorr Rao, today submitted a memorandum to the director of education at Porvorim.
Pointing out at the recent murder of a young school boy in Haryana due to the negligence of school staff and management, Rao said that precautions have to be taken by the Department of Education and Goa Government to avoid any similar incidents in Goa.
The memorandum submitted by Kishorr Rao reads that, “all schools (private/government) have to be strictly checked by a team of education department, and direct them to correct any irregularities.”
Some of the other issues raised in the memorandum were regarding the quality of teaching in schools. It says that the standard of teaching in schools needs to be upgraded so that the students are not forced to spend extra and go for tuition classes.
