Miramar (Goa) It’s not only the weather and the water tide but Luck too doesn’t seem in favour of stranded Lucky 7 casino ship. The salvaging of the vessel has hit rock bottom even after the saloons managed to move the vessel 250-300 mtrs away from the Miramar beach on Monday.
The vessel has drifted back to it its original position at Miramar owing to strong winds and moreover, the exercise to tow the vessel off Aguada bay this morning delayed. The reason being rough sea and bad weather. “The salvors decided to pause the floating operation today. If an attempt is made in this bad weather there is a risk of parting of the ropes. We might resume tomorrow depending on the weather,” said captain of ports James Braganza.
The Indian Meteorological Department in Goa had warned heavy to very heavy rainfall till September 21, even as the casino owning company Golden Globe Hotels Pvt Ltd and the salvaging company are pressed against the deadline. The firms had submitted to the High Court assuring removing the vessel from Miramar beach by September 27 and the bench has now scheduled the matter for hearing on the same day.
