PANAJI (GOA)The nexus between the State of Karnataka and Maharashtra stood exposed today before the Mhadei water dispute tribunal ( MWDT), after Maharashtra counsel refused  to cross exmain karnataka  witness AK Bajaj in the Mahdei case.
Goa government today afternoon concluded the cross examination of the karnataka witness but Maharashtra counsel refused to cross exmain the witness.
Maharashtra had done the similar move in the past.
Along with karnataka  maharashtra too has proposed diversion of water from river Mhadei.
What is interesting is that during questioning by Tribunal,  karnataka witness was clueless about the usage of water that is proposed for diversion from Mhadei river basin.
,
Tribunal posed certain questions to the witness as part of cross examination.
The Tribunal asked the witness as to what is the quantity of water which is diverted would be used for drinking and other purposes. The witness had no answer to the same.
The Cross examination of the witness by the Tribunal will continue on Wednesday
