GOA: FILM APPRECIATION WORKSHOP CONCLUDES AT ESG

The 7-day long film appreciation course concluded recently at the Maquinez Palace auditorium of ESG (Entertainment Society of Goa). The participants were imparted with interesting facts, technicalities and other tricks of the trade necessary for film making and film appreciation, by several renowned scholars from the film industry. On the last day, participants were presented certificates on completion of the course.

Film scholars such as Ashok Rane, Ganesh Matkari, Anil Zankar and Samar Nakhate were the guest lecturers for the week-long film appreciation workshop.

Language of cinema, film theory, parallel cinema, history of Indian and Hollywood cinema, visualisation in cinema and technical aspects of cinema were some of the subjects covered in the course.

Looking at the good response for the film appreciation course, vice-chairman of ESG, Rajendra Talak said that ESG will be organising advanced level courses for film enthusiasts in the near future.

ESG will also be organising a 2-day workshop in film journalism on October 28-29.
