Panaji (Goa) At the backdrop of its leader of opposition being investigated under disproportionate assets case and anti-gambling act, the Congress party today accused BJP government of targeting its MLAs.
“It is very clear that one-by-one our MLAs are been targeted by the government,” Congress president Shantaram Naik told reporters.
He alleged that BJP has adopted pressure tactic compelling congress MLAs to join ruling coalition. “I don’t have to take the names of those MLAs. But as you all know, one-by-one our MLAs are being targeted,” former MP said.
The various cases surrounding the congress MLAs are SEZ scam involving Pratapsingh Rane and Luizinho Faleiro, Digamber Kamat in illegal mining and Louis Berger case, Nilkant Halankar in Housing Board scam and Chandrakant Kavlekar in prevention of corruption act and anti-gambling act.
“These are politically motivated actions. Law will take its own course,” he commented.
